Forgotten Sea—Straddling Art Notes(author Luo Lala) contains dozens of cultural arts figures
interview notes, character sketches, art criticism and essays over
the author’s past decade. The book is divided into four parts:
"character line drawing", "literary criticism" "Kunqu Notes" and
"private space", talking about literature, painting, theater, film,
architecture and the lifestyle and various, involving cultural
figures such as directors Ang Lee, Tian Zhuangzhuang, Rong
Nianzeng, Jia Zhangke, Lin Yihua; writers Bai Xianyong , Mu Xin, Su
Tong, Ye Zhaoyan, Bi Feiyu, Zhu Sujin, Han Dong, Lu Min, Ge Liang;
artists Chen Danqing, Zhang Xiaogang, Mao Yan, Fan Yang, Xu Lei,
Tang Guo, Yu Hui, Yao Yuan, Zhang Jiqing, Ke Jun; designers Zhu
Yingchun, Zhao Qing, Chen Weixin. From her female keen perception,
the author uses an innovative and unique cultural perspective to
line drawing characters, to comment literary works and cultural
phenomena, to narrate her past ten years’ experience of Qunqu
broadcast, but also with the true stories of her personal emotional
life. The book is also accompanied by Luo Lala’s sketch paintings,
naturally highlights her personality characteristics. Zhao Qing, a
well-known graphic designer, who has won a number of international
book design awards, designed this book which has won the Award of
the Most Beautiful Book in China in 2014. |
